Synthia is a design installation that examines the relationship between humans and automobiles, imagining their convergence on multiple levels. The car, both cultural icon and vessel of imagination, is deeply embedded in everyday life and popular culture. With the rise of self-driving cars, its role as an entertainment hub gains new relevance. The installation merges elements of human bone structure with the raw construction of a car, drawing on representations of automobiles in art, cinema, fashion, and beyond. These references are cataloged on aluminum cards placed in the center console, the “spine” of the work. Equipped with a voice and sensory attributes, Synthia adopts a distinct personality that greets visitors and invites further exploration.
