PFITSCHIGOGERLThe Pfitschigogerl Finger Football Stadium was designed for the Sports Platform at the 2021 Architecture Biennale in Venice on the theme “How should we live together?” This furniture sculpture for public space combines the relaxed atmosphere of coffeehouse conversations with the lively game of Pfitschigogerln, where coins are flicked across the board to score a goal. Its playful lightness is disrupted by details that invite reflection. Sport can unite, but it can also divide– by age, class, ethnicity, and gender. Stadiums embody both architectural achievement and political symbolism. The Pfitschigogerl Stadium captures this duality, balancing shared joy with critical reflection.
