CONVECTOR LIGHT SERIES
The Convector Light Series consists of three types of lights: the chandelier Convector Axis, the single pendant Convector Apex, and the clamp light Convector Lateral. The series continues the exploration of lighting objects that draw on both natural and technical references. These new pieces extend that approach by introducing a modular construction system and adjustable light directions, enhancing their functional adaptability. As the title suggests, the Convector lights are inspired by heating systems and their convector fins, merging this industrial reference with a more organic,nature-based visual language. Flora Lechner´s creative process balances intuition and calculation. Starting from flat patterns reminiscent of clothing design, she cuts, bends, and assembles fragments into dynamic compositions. In this series, she pushes the intuitive aspect further by developing a modular “building kit,” allowing the bone-like stem components to be arranged according to structural needs and visual intention. The resulting configurations highlight different states of growth: a single hanging blossom, a bloom emerging from a surface, or a branching structure with multiple heads extending in various directions and scales.
The Convector Light Series debuts with Max Radford Gallery in London during the group exhibition Torn Together in October 2025. DATE 2025 CONVECTOR AXIS:
